The best view of Bonfire Night in the highest bedroom in Britain
Have you ever dreamt of watching London’s incredible fireworks display from the highest place in Western Europe? This year, you could watch the Bonfire Night's show from the top of London's tallest landmark, the Shard… But only if you are the lucky winner of a contest.
Bonfire Night or Guy Fawkes Night, commemorating the failure of the November 1605 Gunpowder Plot, is celebrated with burning effigies and stunning fireworks.
For this very night only, Booking.com has launched a contest where two lucky winners will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of this magic night from the best vantage point in the city.
This 5 November, the top two floors of London’s iconic Shard will create a unique pop-up hotel room. Guests will be able to stay at the The View from The Shard, at a height of up to 800ft (or 244m), and at almost twice the height of any other vantage point in London.
The winner will get not only the view on the show from the Shard’s open air viewing platform, but also a welcome drink, a sumptuous three-course dinner inspired by Guy Fawkes Night, and a delicious breakfast at sunrise the next morning.
To participate you should visit the booking.com competition entry page, answering what this stay in Britain’s – and Western Europe’s – highest bedroom would mean to you.
Booking.com has created an original competition page which looks just like their real booking pages, but this one will be useful only for one lucky winner. Booking com promises: «This will be a fifth of November you'll have no trouble remembering!»
The competition closes on 20 October 2017 at 23:59, so you still have a few days to try and win!
