The Adare Manor reopens after 21 month refurbishment

After the 5-star Adare Manor hotel was purchased by JP McManus and family in December 2014, it was completely transformed. The hotel is considered to be the Irish pearl, so, many people have been waiting excitedly for the Neo-Gothic pearl to re-open after its extensive refurbishment and expansion program.

The luxurious, award-winning five-star hotel and golf resort was closed for the past 21 months, and up 800 people were involved in the renovation. With part of the buildings built in the 1720s by the grandfather of the first earl of Dunraven, the manor as it's known today was built in 1832.

The five-star hotel has added 42 new bedrooms, a ballroom and a redesigned golf course. The new bedroom wing, linked to the original manor house by a colonnade,  brings the total number to 104 bedrooms. A splendid new ballroom has a capacity for 350 guests, catering for weddings, events and conferences.

The new west wing is a replica of the original, in grey limestone.

The Spa at Adare Manor will debut Ireland and the UK’s 1st and only La Mer Spa, making it one of the eleven La Mer spas worldwide.

In March 2018, Adare Manor will open its newly rebuilt, redesigned and remodeled golf course, which was led by world-renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio with the Adare Manor team.

The hotel also has a new 140” wide screen cinema with deep comfortable seats and a variety of movies on show offered day and night.

The resort also proposes an outstanding gourmet experience, by candle light in The Oak Room, where Head Chef Michael Tweedie’s tasting menu has distilled the essence of Ireland’s best artisan ingredients, paired with Head Sommelier Jurica Gojevic’s lovingly curated wine collection.

In the mornings, the magnificent Gallery offers a breakfast menu designed to give you an inspiring start to the day. Our Afternoon Tea in The Gallery is a refined indulgence, where expert Head Pastry Chef Xavier Torne has created a divine menu of delightful confections, pastries, and hand-cut sandwiches, served with a selection of exquisite teas from around the world.

This marks a new beginning for Adare Manor’s esteemed legacy.  A labour of love from the very start, Adare Manor was created by its original owners to delight, astonish, and impress – and we continue to hold ourselves accountable to that vision today, which is vividly alive in this new guest experience, and even further reflected by our world-class team, whose personalized service is what makes Adare Manor feel like home.
