The eco-resort One & Only Nyungwe House is located on the territory of the National Park Nyungwe among tea plantations and the largest tropical forest in Africa. Each element of the resort is carefully thought out, starting with the concept of “farm to table” restaurants, ending with health and spa treatments based on African traditions and local culture.

“We are pleased to announce the opening of One & Only Nyungwe House, Nature Resorts' second eco-resort in our collection. Our guests will be able to explore the unspoiled nature of Africa: go hiking to chimpanzee settlements, meet endangered mangobee monkeys, stroll through the majestic mahogany trees and discover exotic birds, says One & Only Resorts president and chief operating officer. “Everything that the eco-resort offers is closely connected with the surrounding nature: from dawn breakfasts and yoga classes to relaxing outdoor spa treatments and evening cocktails around the campfire.”

Guests of One & Only Nyungwe House resort will have a wide range of programs for outdoor activities. Several hiking trails start right at the resort and lead deep into the jungle: the easiest option is the Karamba trail, which originates at the former gold mine, and the more difficult route passes through Bigugu, the highest point of the park. Among other impressions of the guests are night walks, helicopter flights, a training camp for sports in the jungle, dart throwing and archery lessons, as well as acquaintance with the secrets of collecting and preparing African tea.
