2020 - Ford Mach 1 «goes further»: the green wind of changes
Since it’s announcement in January, the appearance of a new crossover was covered with a shroud of secrecy. Lifting the veil, Ford has presented the first teaser of supercharged electric-power crossover, named after the legendary Mustang generation - Mach 1.
An intriguing presentation of the car, designed by a specially created new electric vehicle development, contains a render of crossover’s back-end. Looking at the render, one can note the similarity of a new car with old mustangs: Three-panel lights and a sloping roof are the allusions to the forefather.
"We are being tasked to set the future trajectory of the company, and Team Edison is up for that challenge." commented Darren Palmer, Ford's Team Edison global product development director
The internals of the future crossover are fogged. What is known is it will be equipped with an supercharged electric engine, inherently capable of ranges of more than 483 kilometres.
It is expected that the serial version of electric Ford Mach 1 will be released in 2020.
