Gulfstream delivered G500 to its first client
The new business jet Gulfstream G500 was transferred to the first customer. Four years after announcing the model in 2014, the first business jet was delivered to a customer from North America, who took delivery of the jet at Gulfstream's Savannah headquarters. Created from scratch, the new airliner is designed to replace the old model G450, which was discontinued in early 2018.
The new type of aircraft receives an increased range (9630 km against 7960 km for the G450) and a maximum speed (0.925M vs. 0.880M). The G500 was the first aircraft certified to use the extended vision system for landing. The machine is equipped with two PW814GA engines with a draft of 6.9 t.
Inside the G500, are located Gulfstream’s latest comfortable seats, a galley on the front or aft of the board and giant windows, as well.
The price of the aircraft starts from 43 million dollars. The competitors of the G500 in price, size and range are Dassault Falcon 900LX, Falcon 5X and Bombardier Global 5000.
